The food thread...

I have a bit of bourbon once in a while. I like it on the rocks. I've never had a mint julep, maybe I should try it.

My guy likes a little whiskey sometimes... he likes it poured just over the top of one of these big ice cubes...

Mine is a bourbon guy. Some whiskeys as well, but definitely enjoys the corn flavor of bourbon. I mostly have a glass of wine in the evening, red. I don't drink many white wines.

He calls it bourbon most of the time so it's probably bourbon... I didn't really know the difference. I'm not into wine much unless it's pricy... He makes us nice margaritas with good tequila, grand marnier, mix and a splash of orange juice. When I hit my limit which is about three he starts drinking bourbon sometimes. He can drink.

I'm not expert here, but I think bourbon is a whiskey that is made with corn, whiskey is often made of barley, rye and wheat (major grains), unless it's corn and then it's also a whiskey.

All bourbon is whiskey and but not all whiskey is bourbon. Traditionally, all whiskeys are aged in oak casks. I have found relatively inexpensive red wine that is quite good. There's a Black Box Cabarnet Sauvignon that is quite delicious. Yes, it comes in a black box. lol

Wine doesn't have to be pricey to be good. I would look at the rating of the wine. I have had bottles rated over 90 that haven't been crazy expensive.

Knocked up a simple yet tasty dish: Bangers and mash. The sausage is South African Boerewors (farmer’s sausage).

Tip: to make the gravy I use tomato and onion relish. Keep the boerewors whole so the relish is welled while cooking.

How the fuck did the 11 year old just eat three Chick-Fil-A sandwiches? He did. I saw him. Two orders of waffle fries were also involved.

Please kill yourself. The world will thank you.
I think you're out of line acting the clown in General Discussions, Nimrod. Try to control yourself before someone has to do it for you.

I was lazy. Bought some bake at home pizza from Aldi, some chicken wings (frozen), and salad in a bag. Oh, and three bottles of theor cheap house wine because that is how I roll. I will probably only drink one though.

Tonight we got BBQ for the whole family. It was a bit expensive at $87 but it was a lot of food.
