We really need to go over the details again? The police told him to stop the pursuit while he was still in his vehicle tracking Trayvon down with a loaded gun... Zimmerman was an angry and disgruntled resident of an HOA frustrated over a string of burglaries in his neighborhood.
Yes we do. Primarily because you never provided a shred of competent evidence to support your argument the first time around . And from the looks of this post it appears we'll be traveling down well worn and familiar pathways once again.
But hey, coding is slow this week so let's play.
Zimmerman was disgruntled you say? Okay. Let's say that is so. Safe to assume this portion of your attempt at producing a competent argument is to support the "depraved mind" element in the statute ? Which, by the way, I think would be a good idea to post here since it forms the basis for our dialogue moving forward.
The unlawful killing of a human being, when perpetrated by any act imminently dangerous to another and evincing a depraved mind regardless of human life, although without any premeditated design to effect the death of any particular individual.
Sound about right to you?
Zimmerman was in a depraved, or as the Oxford dictionary puts it "wicked; morally corrupt" state of mind when he shot Travon from a subdued and vulnerable position? Interesting.
But one must ask: If he were truly in a depraved and wicked statement of mind looking to kill someone, anyone, why not just fire his weapon from the inside of his vehicle. Why step out of the truck to question this suspicious person? Isn't that what gang members in LA and Chicago do to one another all the time? I believe the official term is "drive by"
But let's circle back for just a moment. You say that Zimmerman disobeyed the police dispatch as if that has the slightest impact whatsoever on the material facts of this case. It doesn't.
Here's why.
YOU DONT LOSE YOUR RIGHT TO DEFEND YOURSELF SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU WILLINGLY PLACE YOURSELF IN A HOSTILE SITUATION AGAINST THE ADVICE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT.
Period. End of discussion.
Much the same way a woman does not lose the right to remain free of sexual assault when she dresses overly provocatively in a room full of men.
Do you see how that works?
Truthfully, it wouldn't matter in the slightest if Zimmerman were riding around in that neighborhood with a white hood over his head yelling yehaw nigger nigger nigger out his window the entire night. He became a victim of assault with the potential for great bodily harm the minute Travon hit him and wrestled him to the ground. All the other emotional bullshit you cite?
Immaterial. Zimmerman was in a vulnerable position receiving blows to the head at the moment in time he drew his gun and fired the fatal shot. That's self defense. Period. It's entirely inconsequential how or why they got there. The fact of the matter is they were there and Travon was on top of this man pummeling him.
What would you do if you were a black teenager in this country and an aggressive white man who has been following you @ night in his SUV suddenly got out of his car and walked up to you with a loaded gun in his hand?
I would do what any reasonable minded person would do if I saw someone walking up to me with a gun in their hand. I'd call the police. But the fact of the matter is George did not have his gun in his hand when he approached Travon
How do I know this? Common fucking sense. Travon was on the phone with his girlfriend the moment in time ZImmerman approached him. Did Travon tell his girl a man was walking up to him with a loaded gun in his hand? Did he ask her to call the police? No he did not. He decided to act like a punk ass jerk off and paid the ultimate price for it.
I'm truly surprised with you Murdy. THat a person as intelligent as you are would buy into this irresponsible and totally bullshit narrative that somehow "systemic racism" was involved with Zimmerman's acquittal. it was not. The facts of the case are clear and a conviction of 2nd degree murder, in this instance, based on all the evidence which were supplied would tear the concept of "Beyond reasonable doubt" into unrecognizable shreds.
There are plenty of examples of racial bias infecting our justice system. This case is not one of them.
