They're quite tasty.

I've been known to dip chips in ketchup or mayo when i have them.

I rarely eat them anymore.
I tend to like sour cream and onion, or sc and cheddar, bbq or white cheddar flavors...

But we don't buy chips for the house often at all. I only eat them if at a social gathering or if with a sandwich at lunch type of outing.

I try to avoid carbs, especially highly processed...

Hostess Chips in the 80s came out with a new flavour every couple months , what a time to be alive.. Grilled Cheese and Ketchup flavor was decent Spicy Ketchup was my favorite and Hot Dog flavor was gross and smelled like hot dog water..

Endorsement for the Cajun flavour although smelling like piss on your finger tasted really good

Hey @Lily these ones check the right boxes , I do recall them being a bit greasy, though but they're chips right.. If you see em give them a shot.. I seen Cheetos is also trying something if you like sharp cheddar (mmm white cheddar popcorn)

It does have a good ring to it, I wonder if it gets its own national day too.

"Sprigs were traditionally marginalized by Conservative Shoppers! Not allowed to grow old! Not immune from being plucked from their roots by Reaganites! Every ounce of Sprig blood was milked from them!... for STEWS! and SOUPS! and exotic pasta and curry dishes by our cuisine conquistadors! The rich (and lowly housewife with 5 kids tending a small garden in order to feed herself and children to make a better future) ate us!"

AND NOW WE WILL EAT THEMZMZMZ!

Hayback is a bitch!

What's that in Vermont?

4 tomatoes, a bag of pasta, small pack of bullion cubes?
no, its everything. bread, cheese wine, meat, coffee half and half, lots of veggies, couple proteins, all dairy, eggs enough to eat well for a week.

We have food security.

Your 225 bucks USD is roughly worth 345 bucks AUD but I spend less than that for 3 people and every 14 days.. I try to keep it below 290 AUD.

Part of that is shopping around for deals, freezing, dehydrating, and stockpiling when 50% off deals come up. I won't buy the deodorant I like unless it's 50-60% off but that only happens every few months, so I buy 3-4 cans of it when it does... and can wait for awhile.

My daughter's friends tell me that their parents are spending 300-500 bucks per week, and I ask them what they're buying. Inevitably, it's full price comfort foods, out of season fruits and veggies, "uber free range eggs", and all other retarded shit.

These people don't know how to play the game or budget effectively.

I thank my mother for instilling that fiscal sense in all us brothers.

My mother was a frugal squirrel or a "Prepper" long before she knew why she was doing it.

I loved going around to my grannies home when I could drive because she told me stories about how her family fed her in the 30's... fed my grandfather at the same time before they met, and how in the early 60's she could make two sandwiches for my grandfather from a can of spam, and make something meaningful for her 6 kids at the time, then later 7 kids. And her much younger orphaned sister when their dad died unexpectedly.

True fact.... my grandmother had a guest room which was quite small... and a raised mattress with blankets and sheets over it. One day I looked under it and discovered caterers sized tins of juice and canned fruits holding the whole thing up because I didn't see a bedhead or anything like that, so was curious.

I asked why...

And she said, it's for all my children and grandchildren. Nobody should ever have to go to bed hungry like we did in the Depression.

Until the White Horse Cafe came on over her rudimentary cable connection and she had a couple of sneaky beers years after my grandpa died.... then she'd start woot wooting about the tight buns of the cowboys dancing, and I was like "no grandma... that's gross. But those young women with tiny spinning skirts are hot as hell"...

Then she would wax lyrical about how she needed to find a nice widow doctor with tight buns, and I was like, "grandma, you meet a nice fellow, widow or not, young or old, who cares about you, I'm all onboard".... then she would sob and laugh and sob and laugh... then we'd we laugh at that....and then she would say that my grandpa was the only man she ever loved.... but she wasn't dead... and old women still can be horny... and we'd laugh more.
