My missus loves making me mussels: this one she calls, White wine and leek mussels with ginger, chilli, garlic and coriander. Tasty as hell!

Fuck, I love mussels too!

When I go to the Chinese buffet, I clear the tray, I'll get like a dozen of 'em. Sometimes it feels they wait til Im full before putting more back out hahaha.
They are sold in cryovac bags are they are alive and the freshest. See if you can get the green-lipped New Zealand mussels, otherwise Boston does some good mussels too. Yeeeew! :ThumbsUp1:

The green lipped are extra-fucking-fantastic...

I could eat 3-4 dozen of them in just dipped butter and garlic...and I wake up in the morning clawing at life!

They make me horny lol. Lots of zinc makes me shoot like a porn star too lol.

Yesterday I had medium rare duck, sweet peppers, thai green vegetable curry and jasmine rice... Nothing amazing presentation wise but I'm new to thai paste so just trying to get the flavours right... I was pretty happy with the outcome...

I always use a rotisserie attachment when I BBQ chicken. I admit it would be hard to keep the pineapple in place though unless you use tooth picks. Maybe a pineapple juice marinade would also work?

I use all that. I flip the chicken with its breasts down halfway through, that way the juice keeps the titties moist!

Not actual food but some good smoke for my next brisket...

These are chunks of Oak Whisky barrel... The Whisky was stored in them for 15yrs and just lighting the corner of one up gives off the nicest smell...

I knew some guys who would buy the old wooden whiskey barrels shipped here and warm them up to get the residual alcohol out of them...then dilute with water...

I knew some guys who would buy the old wooden whiskey barrels shipped here and warm them up to get the residual alcohol out of them...then dilute with water...

I soaked one in water for 6hrs then dried it with that paper towel... I put it on some coconut husk coal and let it smoke to see what I was dealing with... The smell is unreal... Probably best to pair up with some mesquite as the smell is pretty sharp with whisky... A nice twist...

Typical items are:

Sausages, bacon, tinned beans, tinned or fresh tomatoes, black pudding, mushrooms, fried bread, bread and butter, fried eggs and occasionally fried potatoes...

Straying outside of those ingredients would get you scorned around these parts... :HowDareYou:
