Can I ask a ?

Whose parenting are ya’ll taking shots at? My kid didn’t go to college, but he’s a longshoreman now. My girls didn’t go to college either, but both have careers in accounting and nursing.

I haven’t read the whole thread but I’m curious.

I think everyone needs to pursue higher education and not just so they can make more money.

Mine will be fine. My girls have a number in the Longshoreman cue as well.

I wanted mine to have an enriched life… not just live to work.

You can lose a job. No one can ever take away your education. For me it was about elevating them into being confident, critical thinkers.

I raised mine to despise their gran.

What his avatar pic does not show is that he is wearing nothing but suspenders and high heels in the cropped bit.

Ahh I get it, you think I'm "pretty". Yeah I've heard that a lot over the years, but you can put your dick back in your pants, sailor. I don;t swing that way, sorry. Try messaging Blurt...

Does anyone else have faith that Aryan will ever make a decent fist of anything else but being forum fisted?

We all know where your fist ends up every night...

Your asshole.

I love that about him!

So he likes men huh? I might have guessed, it seems to be a common trend among liberal "males".

Yeah, that's what I meant, LITERALLY, dumbfuck.

Try and calm down, you'll only end up excitedly sharting yourself again.

I don't think so. I think people can have trade skills as long as they are productive members of society. It's important that all people have the curiosity to explore the very big world out there too.

I have one friend with multiple degrees who is the father of a 6 yo girl who he said he will push to do trade-school before college. My issue with that is that then you’re only exposed to the material for your trade.

Think back to when you were in your first and second year of college and all you were exposed to just with the basic general curriculum. I changed majors 2x before deciding which direction I was heading in.

My children have seen me go back to school for refresher courses and to pursue art, which has been a lifelong interest if mine, several times… I believe an education is a lifelong process.

That's exactly my problem with it. The whole 2000-year-old concept behind liberal arts education is to help form a well-rounded citizen who knows about many things and can thus participate fully in civic life, not to necessarily learn a trade.

Education is a life-long process indeed. You wouldn't be surprised by the number of people that stop reading after college. I read the results of a survey from the American Library Association, only about 25% of college graduates read a book after college.

Some countries to that in high school though. My ex had to pass advanced high school math, science and a foreign language course just to graduate basic high school. He came to this country and learned a trade because his English language acquisition was a life-long process.

We have to have better primary education in this country.

my best friend is from a longline of college graduates.. her parents have 10 degrees between them….her father is an attorney and her mother is an elementary school teacher (private Catholic)

I’m fascinated by every conversation I have ever had with her parents… and my bestie is one of the most well read, brilliant minds you will ever meet… she is also a single mother doing a fantastic job in the midst of a deadbeat father for her only child.

A lot of Muricans who haven't bothered with education are very motivated to participate fully in civic life. But because they know nothing about anything, they join communities like Q-Anon, Trump fans, flat earth groups, etc, as a way to feel involved. They are jealous of people who are able to have conversations like yours with your friends, because they don't understand a word of it. But then they go on and on about how the smart people are stupid, and claim they are the smart ones in order to make themselves feel better. It's stupefying.

What are you saying, Lokmar? That "all men" are to be found only in the U.S.? Or that none are to be found in the British Isles?

You understand your own political charters about as well as you understand your own scriptures.

Which is to say, not at all.

No surprise there.
Hey shithead, NO. Try again!

Then obviously those who claimed that these truths were self-evident never considered that some day some guy named Lokmar would show up to prove them wrong.
Hey shithead, WRONG again!

You don't actually understand what I wrote up there, do you?

Didn't think so.

Blurt, I dont think you understood what Lok was saying. He was saying Blands COUNTRY doesnt have "God given unalienable rights".

Meaning that his country doesnt recognize the inalienable rights of the people.

He wasnt saying that only American men(which means humans...not just men) were created equal. Lok was talking about the difference between our Constitutional Republic that honors individual rights and liberties and Blands country, which is a democracy.

He wasnt saying the opening lines of the Declaration of Independence ONLY meant American people were created equal. And the Declaration is saying that as Americans, those inalienable rights and equality will be recognized.

I really dont know how you read Loks post and got that meaning out of it but we all may as well be speaking different languages for as much as you guys dont understand what we are saying as well as not knowing when a question has been answered directly multiple times(Levon saying Blands "question" went unanswered).

I mean....he said "Fuk your shitty country. You have no God given inalienable rights. What does ours matter to you?"

To me that was obvious he was saying Blands Democratic COUNTRY doesnt recognize God given unalienable rights. Not that Bland himself isnt equal to Americans.

Dovey, you and Lok need to familiarize yourself with both the Magna Carta and the

, written, respectively, some eight hundred years and one hundred years before the signing of the U.S. Declaration of Independence and the forging of the American Constitution.

Your founding fathers didn't operate in a philosophical and political vacuum. Both of the older documents mentioned above served as models for your country's charter.

Americans have this tendency to navel-gaze when it comes to the establishment of democratic principles and the valuation of individual rights and freedoms, thinking themselves to be the world's only shining city upon a hill. You ain't.

Both you and Lok would benefit from acquiring some historical perspective. Everyone would, really.

You misunderstood his post, Blurt.

You guys would do well to stop seeing yourselves as above other people and stop assuming that because someone disagrees with you, it's because they dont know or understand the topic like you think you do. It is always about some perceived fault or failing with the opposition.

Everytime a left leaner is wrong about something, instead of owning it they come back with some lecture about how someone ELSE is lacking or they just get nasty.

Since everything I've said about America IS correct, and I clarified Lokmars post as he was clearly talking about Blandscapes COUNTRY, not Blandscape personally.....i really have no idea what you are telling me i need to understand here.

You are making a pretty big assumption here based on biases you have that you dont seem to recognize.

Holy shit.. get the fuck outta my mind :LOL3: :LOL3: :LOL3:

I was just thinking that to myself as I scrolled past the masters of the universe here giving each other self congratulatory pats on the back fur for degrees which really didn't do all that much to alter their financial standings in any significant way.

I wish I had more time today but I'm busy doing a technical write-up and executive summary for a 250,000.00 project I just completed so I'm just gonna have to piss on some of these rodents later this evening

There was a study done to see how Americans view themselves. They were given activities and had to rate how well they thought they did.

Almost all of them saw themselves as above average, and most of them were BELOW average. It's calles Dunning-Kruger.

The ones who scores ABOVE average all rated themselves as average or lower.

It turns out that very intelligent people are most likely to be humble and teachable.

And the below average people will always think of themselves as more than they are and be more unreachable. If you believe you have all the answers and are above other people, you dont learn anything.

Literally no one here is Qanon.

Instead of assuming people voted for Trump because they are dumb, or because of some character defects they have, you could learn WHY peoplw think the way they do. And hear out thier answers instead of going "bullshit" and then assigning your own bias judgements.

I mean sure you guys can prop eachother up and try to reaffirm your self perceived intelligence and seeming people who agree with you as intelligent but that's where that bucks stops because no one outside of the lefty club sees sophistry, insults, ad hominem, contempt and failure to support your positions as signs of intelligence.

Intelligent people do not need to reaffirm thier intelligence like you guys often do either.

You guys just read like smug, closed minded elitests.

@LotusBud, we are on a forum called Bastard Factory. Do you really think anyone is impressed by how educated anyone is? You don’t need a degree to know realize Blandscape is a total fucking bore.

I think that's matter of opinion about Blandscape. I find him intelligent, it's what makes him witty.

You think Blandscape is witty? Lord, have mercy

Very.

You like Aryan, I don't think the Lord has that much mercy in him...lol

the only time Bland is even slightly LOL worthy is when he’s dissing Poppy.

Holy shit.. get the fuck outta my mind :LOL3: :LOL3: :LOL3:

I was just thinking that to myself as I scrolled past the masters of the universe here giving each other self congratulatory pats on the back fur for degrees which really didn't do all that much to alter their financial standings in any significant way.

I wish I had more time today but I'm busy doing a technical write-up and executive summary for a 250,000.00 project I just completed so I'm just gonna have to piss on some of these rodents later this evening

I can hardly wait for you to divulge into the WHY buying one “mansion” large enough to house 3 generations of your family was a better move than multiple investment properties and how not pushing children to go to college is helping your self-proclaimed stellar financial lineage….

I understand your opinion, I just happen to disagree.

Yeah, 6 bedrooms doesn't sound so grand if you have more than 5 people living in it.
