People will still discuss, debate, quarrel or argue no matter what happened. This is probably still one of the more active forums so far as off-topic forums go.

A while ago I said “cunt” on Facebook and nobody batted an eyelid…but when I said “muzzie” which is short for Muslim strangely enough, I was subsequently banned for a few days or so.

Point being…it’s partly dynamic membership that makes a potentially great forum thrive, and impartial or open-minded moderatorship.

If the whole shitshow went up in flames…gimmee a CB radio!

Cb/UHF doesn't go that far without repeaters functioning. Ham radio is what you're thinking of. They can bounce signals off of the moon and some atmospheric conditions.

I sold my D104 desk about 8 years ago, but kept my hand mics and Connex and my two pill kicker just in case. Gave away a bunch of other shit. The locals were all gone, most dead, and I was reduced to just shooting skip, and when that faded out that was that. For awhile the conditions were good tho. I'm sure they still come and go but I've lost interest. Never fucked with Ham.
