To be honest, the last game that visually dazzled me was The Witcher 3

I played it in the best graphics, no Ray Trace, in my GTX 1070 and was amazed at how great it looked

That kinda felt like the apex

Ray and path tracing are nice, but they don't made the whole thing look so much better when compared to the cards before the RT becoming a thing

Games like Assassins Creed, Far Cry, Crysis and others from 2007-2010

Those were the days things looked fresh and new

I played The Witcher 3. It's a LONG one. lol I also recently completed AC Valhalla with all of the DLC. I racked up like 300+ hours on that.

I'm currently in the middle of Cyberpunk, Dying Light 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn

And Starfield

And it's more or less what you said, sometimes I'll be able to sit and play a few hours but then I just get sick of it

And I find myself fooling around the web, bored, and even though games are awesome and crispy looking these days, they're all mehhh most of the time
