How some Vets feel about the deployment of military at Protests

This is all a continuation of the post-9/11 power grab that saw legislative abominations like the "Patriot Act", the establishment of agencies like the DHS (of which ICE is a subsidiary), the acceleration of militarizing police departments, and the implementation of a comprehensive surveillance state (Edward Snowden is still in exile for blowing the whistle on the NSA's unconstitutional activities).

Every presidential administration since 2001 has continued and expanded these programs.

No republican or democrat will ever end them.

Yes, that's what these orders are.

But the average experienced Vets do not seem to agree with it.
 
This vet feels like it is illegal for the military to perform law enforcement operations on American soil. Assistance in emergencies yes. Pointing guns at civvies no.
That's what most of the vets said in the article from the OP.

They especially don't like the Marines being sent in...
