Given that the Northern Ireland protocol that the EU forced on to Northern Ireland breaks the Good Friday Agreement (namely that the status of NI cannot be changed without a majority vote of the population) I can see why Unionists are upset. Especially given that a year of peaceful protests and attempts at negotiations has all been ignored by the imperious, arrogant, and completely ignorant EU.

I fully expect the next step is for them to start shooting the EU customs officials who are actively violating the peace agreement. What more is there to say? One side is breaking the peace agreement so how do they expect the other side to react? Yet the ever incompetent EU just blunders on.
