And I've got no problem with Walmart running people out of business. But as I recal, the subject was related to the government running people out of business by shutting them down.
So Lokmar supports big Business and low wages.

But this is Meltdown, where the topics get changed frequently. Lokmar, you aren't trying to get the topic back on track because unkind things are being pointed out about Capitalism, are you?
I dont believe so. I genuinely believe that the biggest problems we have is due to gubmints doing what they shouldnt do and not doing what they should. Again, I'd like to point out that the government generally refuses to protect American wages and jobs via tariffs.
How'd that tariffy war with China go for you, loktardo?
Wouldn't surprise me if that was a top 3 reason Trump got smashed in the election.
It worked out great actually. A second plant opened up and supply increased!

I'd even support forcing companies in Mexico to pay their employees the same as an American. The penalty would always be a corresponding tariff. IF the mexicans can do it better, the company should stay in Mexico, right?
The you wouldn't be "Buying American" would you?

You willing to pay extra for a product if it means employee's get a living wage? How socialist of you.
Like the founders, I'm very socialist when it comes to American Jobs. I would actually pay more for American products and do when I can. My point is, if tarifs dont work, foreign workers get a living wage and get to keep their jobs which SHOULD make liberals happy. Why dont liberals jump on board?

Agreed. We need to stop abuses of people in other countries as it relates to the market.

Libs really lose their own argument here. They say they're for equal treatment and against slave labor, but they always fight tooth and nail to prevent fixing it.

I find it remarkable that people, in this day and age, having the history of capitalist greed in full view, actually think the business community would operate with conscience and altruism when the driving force, particularly of the large entities, is only profits. Where corporations seek political power it is only because they then can influence toward deregulation.

Maybe it's because they are only around those who share their stances and they are still stuck in the times when it was Republicans who were getting all the corporate money and running a much more puritanish culture? And if you disagree with them you are a republican. Maybe they just havent realized just how much things have changed.

That's kind of what I get from them based on what they say to most of us.(not so much Krieg)

Don’t even get me started on OJ Simpson. The man lost his Rockingham estate to buy the dream team defense and Marcia Clark made serious mistakes in that case... especially when she had an actor try a blood soaked glove on in the court room that would have easily been traced to OJ through the sales receipts and video footage of him wearing them on television.
Exactly, but we all know he's guilty as fuck.

But the relevant fact which refuted your earlier hyperbole is the fact that he found an attorney willing to defend his guilty ass in the first place. THerefore, based on that alone, you cannot conclude innocence or guilt based upon the filings of an attorney

so you mean to tell me that you’re putting all of your chips on this attorney is dirty and will jeopardize their reputation and subsequent bar number to pursue a case for a guilty man...

however, I’m personally grateful that there are attorneys willing to represent the socially undesirable and prematurely presumed guilty

one thing is for certain... justice will prevail organically despite the cries for a barbaric bloodbath restoring order in this country from the likes of people like you

I mean, didn't Oj's wife and that hook nose family members win in civil court against OJ? I believe they did.

You need solid causes of action to file any case in court or it will get bounced.

This is like watching me try to speak egg head :LMAO2:
Do you realize there are two courts in the context of what we are talking about?

A criminal court where criminals are prosecuted according to one standard and a civil court where common grieviences are aired out according to a different standard entirely.

I would not have known that there are different courts had you not just pointed that out... are you going to breakdown traffic and small claims in this xanny granny brain fart spewage now? I think it's even more amazing that we have historical proof several times over of the horrific abuses under socailism and communism yet you think the government will magically become transparent, trustworthy and altruistic THIS time.

People will natural come together and help the struggling among them. We do it all the time.

And the majority of most of your complaints are about the results of too much government. How is more going to benefit anyone?

"the other side" will always have it's radicals and those who speak with their "feelz" as opposed to cold hard facts.

I had Lotusbud running around after me stating I'm a "mansplainer", and Lokmar calling for the death of anyone who is gay/ not christian.

These do not strike me as rational minds looking at the "big picture", seeking a fair and equitable dialogue with an exchange of ideas, willing to admit their point of view could be wrong.

Then again, this is Meltdown on Bastard Factory, so by tradition I should derail this thread by asking if you lack a gag reflex, which is rude, mysoginistic (sp?) and nothing to do with the topic, but as I said to Lokmar, this is Meltdown.

Yeah, but what you described is pretty much how it is normally now.

We have even saw people turning family members in to the feds over the Capitol "insurrection" that wasnt even an insurrection. It's nearly impossible to have any sort of rational and respectful conversation with people on the "other side".

The "other side" has decided things about us and they are not going to change their minds or try to understand our positions. And they refuse to explain theirs or address any valid points or concerns about some of their stances.

Like medicare for all. I would love for everyone to have access to affordable AND quality healthcare. But there are real issues with medicare for all that can cause a lot of harm....and when you point those things out to discuss them, you get accused of not caring if people die. Or some other nasty and overly defensive response.

At this point, I'm more likely to believe these people do not really care about other people. Theyve just taken a stance that makes them feel good about their own selves and want to feel superior.

Because otherwise, if it's people you care about.....youd want to consider the potential harm and the downfalls and be motivate to upgrade your stance to deal with that.

They wont budge or try, it's a "my way or fuck you racist, uneducated repuke!" and then they go post shit like that dumb golden Trump statue or post some shit they can use to smear literally every right leaner.

It's not just here, this is the norm today.

Yeah but the Trump administration was lowering pharmaceutical costs and health care costs and got rid of the ACA fine.

But you either dont know that or you just dismiss it or laugh.

Do you understand just how important that was to people struggling to afford insulin? People were dying from insulin hoarding. Do you know that? Trump made insulin easily affordable and Biden came in and jacked it back up.

Agreed, yes.

I am curious how Universal healthcare can cause a lot of harm, but that is another topic.

On the other side of the coin you have those saying that all Muslims and Jews are evil, that gays are perverts and will molest children, Hitler did nothing wrong, People of colour are inherently lazy, the list goes on.

It is unfortunate the loudest lies gets the most attention.

How? You going to boycott anything made in China?

China is going to eventually own most of this country... they are currently buying up commercial real estate all over the US

the federal reserve owns most of the student loan debt... which if continuously deferred is eventually written off

I find it remarkable that people, in this day and age, having the history of capitalist greed in full view, actually think the business community would operate with conscience and altruism when the driving force, particularly of the large entities, is only profits. Where corporations seek political power it is only because they then can influence toward deregulation.
...and how nice it would be if they could operate w/o regard to worker health and safety, or environmental protections.
And I find it remarkable that you people have sat back on your asses and watched jobs flee America without any attempt and preventing it.

He did support the trumptarded trade war wiff China

Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade war with China has caused a peak loss of 245,000 U.S. jobs, but a gradual scaling back of tariffs on both sides would boost growth and lead to an additional 145,000 jobs by 2025, a study commissioned by the U.S.-China Business Council (USCBC) shows.

The group, which represents major American companies doing business in China, said the study by Oxford Economics also includes an “escalation scenario” which estimates a significant decoupling of the world’s two largest economies could shrink U.S. GDP by $1.6 trillion over the next five years. This could result in 732,000 fewer U.S. jobs in 2022 and 320,000 fewer jobs by 2025, it said.

...and how nice it would be if they could operate w/o regard to worker health and safety, or environmental protections.
And I find it remarkable that you people have sat back on your asses and watched jobs flee America without any attempt and preventing it.
And what did you do to prevent jobs leaving the US?
I've a long list of emails to congressmen which have no doubt added me to some "lists" and bought American when possible. I've also advocated for decades for the return to using tariffs, voted for Trump, and other such things. I also seek out products that are made by individuals in America. 3D printing has opened up a lot of entrepreneurial businesses in this country. Just today, I bought a $15 trinket thats made in America.
