My new Stevens 555 28 gauge arrived today. Man what a sweet little beauty, only weighs 5.1 lbs

Also ordered 3 cases of Winchester AA trap loads and those should be here on Monday.
Its funny you mention that. Scheels in Springfield has one in 20 gauge I think. I was surprised by how light it was.

I like guns, A LOT! I own a bunch and I LOVE shooting them as much as I can! I'm fascinated by how different many of them are from each other even in the same cal and I get a great deal of enjoyment from teaching all my kids how to properly handle them.

One odd thing tho, I absolutely dislike model 1911's. To me, their safety features are too complex. I want to pick up a pistol and fire it! They're also too thin for my grip. I know this may put me in the minority, but its just my personal preference.

My current favorite is my CZ-97 which is a 45ACP. Damn! I just LOVE this gun! Its a dream to shoot! Very controllable, the trigger is great, and the recoil is more tame than my 9mm CZ 75! I dont care for how the mag lands home tho. You really have to hammer it in. I plan to buy a few upgrades from Cajun Gun Works soon.

My favorite revolver is my Colt Python. That will likely change when I pick up an Anaconda. Magnum revolvers are real fun to fire.

My favorite shotty is my Benelli M4 thats had about all the mods you can do to one, especially the R922 mods. Shoots high brass with very little recoil. I'm gonna talk my wife into shooting it this weekend. My second favorite is my over/under 10ga. Yea, that bitch kicks HARD! Its a novelty.

My favorite AR right now is my AR-10.

Out of all of these tho, my most deadly and accurate weapon is a Ruger 10/22 with a thermal scope or my standard Leupold scope on it. You cant imagine how small the groupings are on it. I've shot out a hole on a target 100 years away smaller than a quarter with it with the 25 round mag. Fucker's impressive to say the least!

I'll be buying a 300 Win Mag or 338 Lapua soon!

I think handguns solely for the purpose of self defense in the privacy of one's home should be allowed but with safety conditions attached. Not for outside the home or property tho. And rigorous training and licensing requirements.

There've been too many incidents of home invasions where the residents have been murdered by someone breaking into their homes in Canada. If a person isn't entitled to protect their family members what else do they have a right to do?

If everything ever written about climate change has to be in politics, I would think that so does everything ever written about people liking guns.

Fair is fair.

Except, this thread for most of its life was an "interest" thread without trolling. Politics used to be that way too, until the gang from Joodog's failed forum showed up. I don't blame BF for the ways he's coped with that lot of assholes, present company probably not included.
