My son and I both passed our Hunting and Firearm Safety classes. I took mine in Middle School, and so did my son. Back when I was in school, it was a course offered IN school. They brought rifles and everything. Everyone should learn good gun safety.

ALWAYS treat every firearm like its loaded.

NEVER point it at anyone (unless defending yourself).

Your firearm should always either point up, or down, depending how you carry it.

NEVER put your finger on the trigger, til time to shoot.
