The rent control laws in NYC practically make it impossible to be a landlord without being a slum lord. It is the same in San Francisco. Democrats passed all those stupid laws. They claimed they were helping poor people, though they were not, and their actual goal was to stack districts dumb poor blacks who vote blue no matter who. Also the Democrats want to keep blacks poor and dumb; just look at how so many of them are either dropping or pushing to drop graduation requirements for even the most basic reading, writing, and mathematics. Democrats claim it is to "help" blacks graduate but giving a piece of paper to someone who cannot read or do basic math doesn't help anyone.
