More people die per year from smoking cigarettes than they do from COVID
According to this report, the number of Americans who died from Lung Cancer in 2019 was about 142,000 Bigly.
Assuming that the numbers will be about the same in 2020, that's a lot lower than the numbers who've died from Covid, eh? It's surpassed 300,000 by now. Twice as high as lung cancer deaths thus far.
By the end of the year, it could be triple in the United States, eh Bigly?
Smoking causes more problems than lung cancer.
Just sayin.
Well if yer not scared of COVID, why did you move your family outta the city, Dovey?
I'm not saying its wrong, actually it may have been a wise move.
I understand where you live, Michigan has really gotten hit hard by the coronavirus.
Just like its neighbouring Canadian province, Ontario.
You guys have every reason to fear the virus more than say, where I live.
Or Dinky in Australia.
It's just that more lethal in places like Detroit or Michigan than the West coast of Canada or Australia, because the conditions are conducive to its spread.
I don't look at trying to stand up to what I consider what essentially a bioweapon as being brave or a victory of some sort.
It's like standing in a doorway of a house on fire.
I spoke with my physician the other day, a board certified Canadian Doctor, and he told me the only way we or any other vicinity will achieve 'herd immunity' is if at least 50% of the population gets vaccinated against the coronavirus. And then maybe 6 months later, the population as a whole will achieve what the medical community will consider 'herd immunity'. It's not like catching a cold, flu or the measles and the population will magically acquire some resistance to it. It's just not the same thing, where a good portion of the Canadian or American population gets sick and supposedly/ideally will develop a resistance to it. Uh uh, not this virus.
COVID is a LETHAL virus. There's no ideology attached to it. It doesn't care what your political affiliation is.
And If it doesn't kill a person, COVID leaves permanent damage or scarring of the internal organs.
