First, I am guessing you identify as a Neanderthal.

Second, hominids didn't wander about only out of curiosity. Where is your evidence for this? Hominids left in different waves of migration mostly for reasons of resources, competition for the resources, following their food sources, and yes, also wonder I suppose. The only evolutionary pull any organism has is to reproduce the next generation. That is evolution 101.
