Actually Dovey on several occasions I did point out the liability and in ffectivebeds of the governor to maintain law and order. Another factor going in favor Rittenhouse. If the Governor had just called in the National Guard much of this might never have happened.

You need to remove politics from this and see it for what it is. It's a peaceful small community with historic buildings. Local small business. Kenosha was like a smallish town that has homes right there. So these riots were right next to homes with fucking FAMILIES in them.

So then one day Jacob Blake's ex calls the police because he was there harrassing her and he had a warrant for sexually assaulting her. He fights police, waves a knife, leans into his car and gets shot 7 times and ends up alive but paralyzed.

The media lies about this intentionally KNOWING it will cause rioting. So they incite violent activists to travel to Kenosha for destructive riots.

These people have NOTHING to do with any of this. And now there are mobs of people burning down their community. Destroying those local small businesses(and the entire lives of those who owned them). Mobs who have guns and are walking around armed lighting fires, beating up innocent residents and businesses owners.

HOW are these people to blame for ANY of this? Do you have idea what that would be like? Your fucking home turned into a violent war ground? People trying to burn down occupied buildings? Destroying everything and threatening and brutalizing innocent residents(some of which who probably voted for that left wing pos governor)?

Because there is an ALARMING lack of basic empathy here.

So some of these innocent local residents feel the need to go out and protect some of the towns businesses. Then one of them gets targeted and attacked. He runs first even though legally...he didnt have to. He ONLY shoots at last resort when he exhausted every other option. He only shoots who is attacking him. And the third...Gross, he COULD have killed him, but he didnt. He disabled Gross instead. If Kyle WANTED to kill people? Gross would be dead and there would be MORE people shot than just the ones attacking.

Read this without the politics. Politics should change anything. Those residents had every right to be out there defending their businesses. They didnt do anything to deserve this violent attack. They were just living their lives just like you are right now and a mob attacked them.

So i dont know why or how anyone sees this as "sides". That's just the same as saying the girls in the Epstein/Maxwell case are just the "other side" and they should really at least get probation. It's not sides.....its not political sides what happened. It's a violent mob literally attacking innocent people who were in their own community.

Actually, if you read my prior comments, I did tip the balance in favor of Rittenhouse getting off on Murder/homicide charges because of the lack of law enforcement and destructive actions of the rioters.

so to summarize, while I could see the murder charges against Kyle being thrown out or reduced, I don't believe the gun charges should have been let go.

Obviously you don't like that and we don't agree, but that' just the way I see it.

Innocent/not guilty on some charges but guilty on others.

Plus there should an inquiry into this incident and how future ones can be avoided at all costs if possible.

It's evident that the United States needs better laws and a national gun strategy to improve safety and save lives.

ie - Canada and New Zealand have both banned the MR15, the same gun that Kyle used to kill his attackers.

I think many 'liberals' just wanted to see a middle of the road verdict/ solution which protected everyone including Kyle.

It could have been possible to acquit Rittenhouse of these murders while still limiting his access to firearms thereafter & discouraging vigilantism and street violence. Putting him on probation so he wouldn't get into trouble again nor encourage other youth to commit violence.

Trouble with these kind of trials is it just either-or & becomes injected with political rhetoric as opposed to common sense.
